“What is so confidential about Ms. Janet Lim-Napoles’s possible testimony that it cannot be made under oath before the Senate blue ribbon committee?”
This was the question raised by Senator Teofisto Guingona III after Senate President Franklin Drilon decided not to approve a subpoena for Napoles to attend the Senate probe on the alleged P10-billion pork barrel scam, which she supposedly engineered.
Guingona, who chairs the Senate blue ribbon panel conducting the investigation, said he finds “no logical sense” to Drilon’s decision to disapprove the subpoena for Napoles, while agreeing to summon the whistleblowers of the alleged scam.
