PAL resumes flights to Tacloban

Flag carrier Philippine Airlines announced yesterday morning that it has resumed commercial flight services to typhoon-ravaged Tacloban City in Leyte to help passengers who were affected by the flight cancellations and to aid in the airlifting of relief goods to the area.

However, the damage brought about by typhoon Yolanda to the Daniel Z. Romualdez Airport has been so extensive that flight operations, for now, have been limited to turboprop planes. With the current flight limitations, PAL will be operating its Manila-Tacloban service via Cebu City, it was learned.
